If you want to play, you have to sign up for the challenge until January 15, 17.00 UTC.

Please, check out the Fandom Pool first.

1. (mandatory) Choose four to six favorite fandoms you love to create something for (if the fandoms are not in the pool so far, don't worry. I will add them before the challenge starts). These fandoms will be your 'Designated Fandoms' for the challenge.

2. (optional) You can opt-out of up to 12 fandoms of the pool. If these fandoms show up on the active list, you can swap them.

The first week of the challenge is already running, so you can start creating right away.
Look at your opt-out fandoms - Riddick is on the active list, so you can change it against any prompt of the pool (no designated fandoms!).

And just to clarify, replacing Riddick doesn't get rid of the new fandom right? Like if I used Resident Alien (TV) would that eliminate it from the usable pool or just replace my opt out for the week? (sorry if this was answered somewhere and I missed it :'))

If you replace an opt-out fandom with a different one from the pool (no designated ones are allowed here), it's only for this week and only for you. The choosen fandom stays in the pool = it may be an active fandom later or you can choose it again, in case another of your opt out fandoms turn up on the active list.
