If you want to play, you have to sign up for the challenge until January 15, 17.00 UTC.

Please, check out the Fandom Pool first.

1. (mandatory) Choose four to six favorite fandoms you love to create something for (if the fandoms are not in the pool so far, don't worry. I will add them before the challenge starts). These fandoms will be your 'Designated Fandoms' for the challenge.

2. (optional) You can opt-out of up to 12 fandoms of the pool. If these fandoms show up on the active list, you can swap them.

I admit I'm a little more hesitant about this one, since I'm much closer to a one fandom at a time kind of writer and after February my job is going to be drastically cutting down how much I can work from home, but maybe it could be a good opportunity and a push to branch out. I don't know if I'll be able to write enough to keep my fandoms on the list, even with my main ones being large fandoms, and frankly I don't know anything about a lot of the fandoms in the pool so it's hard to narrow down the opt-outs.

But I think I want to try.

Designated Fandoms: Star Wars, Miraculous Ladybug, Yu-Gi-Oh, Avatar: The Last Airbender

Opt-Out Fandoms: Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Supernatural, The Boys, Marvel TV, Marvel TV 2, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dungeon Meshi, Baldur's Gate, 9-1-1, Good Omens, Law and Order

Thank you for signing up despite your doubts. Yes, I understand that this might be a real challenge for someone who likes to stay to one fandom or two. But it can also be fun to overstep your lines a bit and maybe discover something new.

And remember: you have six wildcards = if you use all of them, you can create something for a designated fandom at least every two weeks. Plus, there is a chance that one or more of your designated fandoms might end up on the weekly list (at least for one week, maybe for longer)

Because of the opt-out fandoms: **laughs** I know, what you are talking about - I don't know many pool fandoms, either. So I have chosen some fandoms I just can't stand, and the rest was more gut feeling; at least there is still hope that one of these fandoms turns up on the active list and I will get the chance to choose another one I have at least heard of.

And, just saying: You did sign up for four designated fandoms so far. Remember that you can also sign up for fandoms that are not in the pool. You can add two more at any time until the challenge starts!

I've been thinking about it, can I add The Muppets (movies + TV) to my designated fandoms and the fandom pool?
