Woohooo, congrats to everyone who made it here! This was so much fun!

Clarification question: Since now there aren't any active fandoms anymore, how does it work points/placement wise? Since I assume there will be point ties, so active fandoms will make the difference. Do all fandom pool fandoms count as active fandoms in this week, meaning we need to make one work each for 25 of them to get the maximum possible amount, or do none of them count, meaning we only play for points now and not for the number of active fandoms anymore?

Just planning out what I will be making this week.

I'm not sure I understand this bit. So the way to get first place/the most points is by only doing icons or haikus since those are 1 point and so allow for 25 works?

Hmmm... well, yes. And I am aware that this was a big problem during the whole challenge I haven't thought about when starting it. Apologies for that, I am already looking for a better way to handle it during the next challenges.

First you need to catch up with your week. You can earn up to 25 points. The fandoms you can use, you can find on the table. You can use one or more of them.

After finishing the week, you can go to the fandom pool (link on the left side). You can use any fandom(s) from the pool that are not marked red. You can get up to 25 points again by posting one or more works.

I have a question about

Works will only get counted until the maximum of points!

I've mostly been writing drabbles, but the last one has turned into a bit longer of a ficlet and is going to end up exceeding the maximum points. That is, for this week, I have written 9 drabbles (2 already shared to the community, 5 posted to AO3 but not yet to the community because I'm waiting on the 2 I'll be posting tomorrow to share them all in a single post since those 7 are all for the same fandom), and a ficlet of over 700 words (but less than 800).

If my math is right, the drabbles would net me 18 points, and the ficlet would be equivalent to 14 points, exceeding the maximum by 7 points. My question is, would the ficlet then retroactively disqualify some of the earlier drabbles from this "number of works" tally, or could the extra 7 points just "fall off" since it's the last work I'll post for the event and all ten works be counted for the tally?

I suppose it may not matter depending on how many people post more works than me, but I thought I'd ask just for accuracy's sake.

I am aware that this rule might cause some misunderstanding, and yes, I am not happy with it. But like you said, work points for the catch-up week won't change much for most participants.

But to answer your question: I would count all your works when the longer fic is posted last.

Belatedly — I would like to use a wild card to swap one of my allowed fandoms for The Addams Family.
