Basic Infos
Let's have a quick look at the card and some basics first.
Your card contains thirty-six gaming tiles with numbers between 1 and 18 (plus some extra block tiles).
Every number will be there twice.
Every pair of numbers comes with two different prompts.
The prompts can be found on a prompt table.
At the beginning of the challenge, every participant will start with an individual prompt table but the same basic card. Starting with week two, everyone will get an individual card, depending on the chosen gaming tiles.
You will pick two gaming tiles every Sunday. Important: The numbers of the tiles must match.
You will soon notice that many numbers are still roundly blocked by other tiles; you can't use these in the running week.
The tiles used will be removed, and new numbers will be opened for the next week.
Sounds complicated?! Don't worry; you can find a small example here. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Signing up
If you want to play, you need to sign up until Saturday, September 7, 11.59 UTC.
I will answer with your individual prompt table. All prompts will be chosen randomly from a given prompt list. You can replace up to four prompts with any other from the list until September 7.
Important: If you want to change prompts, leave a comment like this:
Please change two prompts.
Old: apple - New: morning
Old: bed - New: streets
Let's play
The challenge starts on Sunday, September 8. It will run for 12 weeks plus 1 catch-up week.
Every Sunday, you pick two gaming tiles with matching numbers from the gaming card. Remember that both tiles must be open = not blocked on all sides!
You will find the prompts for the running week on your prompt table. There are three options to play:
1. choose one of your prompts and post one work. You can't post two works for the same prompt!
or
2. choose both prompts and post two works.
or
3. choose both prompts and post one work only. Minimum and points will double.
Use one media = e.g. 200 words minimum instead of 100 words = 4 points instead of 2 points. Both prompts should be used to the same extent (don't use one prompt in the first sentence only and base your complete work on the second prompt).
Use different media = e.g. write a drabble for prompt a and create two icons for prompt b = 2 points for the drabble + 2 points for the icons.
Note: Feel free to mix up different fandoms/stock photos/media for writing and graphics at any time.
After posting your work(s), the tiles you used will be removed from your card.
If all gaming tiles are blocked and you can't play anymore, all the remaining tiles on your card will get shuffled.
Minimum and Points
Possible works:
fic minimum 100 words = 2 points
graphic minimum 2 icons / 1 small graphic* = 2 points
poem minimum 1 haiku / short poems = 2 points
You can earn more points by creating bigger works!
fic 300 words and more = 4 points
graphic 5 icons / 1 big graphic* and more = 4 points
poem 8 lines and more = 4 points
When using both weekly prompts in one work, the minimum and the points will double!
Weekly maximum = 4 points per work/per prompt = 8 points in total.
*graphics:
small = e.g. sig tags, small gifs, plain banner. Works should be at least minimal edited = light, color, plain text is fine.
big = e.g. moodboard, PC wallpaper. Works should come with a background plus at least three edited fandom/stock photos plus some decoration and/or text.
Wildcards
At the beginning of the challenge, you will get three wildcards. If you want to use a wildcard, comment in the weekly post.
Option 1: Remove an additional block tile (water lily). After doing so, choose your weekly number and start creating.
Option 2: Remove a number of your choice = both tiles will get removed, whether they are blocked or not. In this case, you can't choose a weekly number from your card, but you will get two random prompts from the general prompt list.
Not used wildcards will bring some extra points at the end of the challenge.
Additional Challenge
The additional challenge is optional for everyone who wants to create more than two weekly works. Please remember that additional points will only be counted when you have participated in the regular challenge!

Catch up week
You can only participate here when you have participated for at least six weeks in the regular challenge.
The final info will be posted in week 13.
Posting
Every work should be new and not be posted anywhere before. You may re-post / re-use it for other communities later though.
Every work should be completed (no WIP; single chapters are okay as long as they work as stand-alone ficlets).
You can submit up to two works every week.
You have seven days to post your finished works atfandom_empire_workplace (posting ends every Sunday, 17.00 UTC; have a look at the countdown at the weekly playlist).
Use a header and a cut (for works bigger than 2 icons or 1 haiku) or a header and a link if you prefer to post at other places like AO3.
Make a note in the subject line = week x - regular.
Feel free to sum up your works in one post, but make separate posts for the regular and the additional challenge.
