Welcome to week 4 of the Fandom Rush Challenge. Good luck to everyone!
Google Sheet Weekly Overview
The active fandoms for week 4 are:
Assassin's Creed (all),
Avengers (movies)
Baccano! (all media)
Dead Zone (all media)
Gilmore Girls (TV original + remake)
Longmire (TV)
Theater incl. Musical / Opera
Important! Avengers is on the list for four weeks now. No matter the works, the fandom will get deleted next week, in addition to the three fandoms with the least works.
If you find one of your opt-out fandoms on the active list, feel free to choose a different one from the fandom pool instead. Already used fandoms (marked red) are not allowed. Leave a comment here before you start creating.
If you find one or more of your designated fandoms on the active list, you must create at least one work for them. Otherwise, you will lose five points!
If you want to use a designated fandom that is not on the current playlist, you can use a wildcard to replace an active fandom with the designated one of your choice. Leave a comment here before you start creating.
This weeks additional challenge is connected with the regular challenge. You don't have to create extra works!
Use at least three different active fandoms. You will earn plus four points.
When using five or more different active fandoms, you will earn six additional points.
A little update for clearification: remember that when using an opt out fandom or a wildcard fandom your chosen fandom counts as active).
:::
Short reminder of the rules
You can choose one to seven fandoms from the list to create something for it.
There is no maximum of works; the maximum number of weekly regular points is 25.
The additional challenge is optional. Play for extra points! Or simply ignore it. You can play the additional challenge only once every week. Don't forget to mark your work as 'additional' when posting it!
For complete rules, minimum and points go here.

If you have questions, check out the Questions & Answers
post. If you can't find your answer here, feel free to leave a comment.
Posting for this week officially ends Sunday, February 9 17.00 UTC. There is a grace period until the week is finally called 'close'.

Date: 2025-02-02 11:03 pm (UTC)There's no longer a restriction against designated fandoms for opt-outs, right? In that case I'll swap Avengers for Star Wars.

Date: 2025-02-03 06:06 am (UTC)Plus using a wildcard to play a designated fandom of you your choice.
Plus one Star Wars work (yes, it is possible to change an opt out fandom with a designated one - sorry for the confusion here) and you can earn some additional points.

Date: 2025-02-02 11:59 pm (UTC)(Just double-checking, if I then make something for Arrowverse in addition to two other active fandoms on the list, then that would count as three fandoms total toward the additional points?)

Date: 2025-02-03 11:22 am (UTC)- Does Assassin's Creed include the movie?
- Is Dead Zone the video game or the Stephen King book/movie adaptation/tv adaptation?
- For Theater incl. Musical / Opera, does that include movie adaptations of musicals? (like Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, Wicked, etc?)
- The rules say crossovers include fusions, does that also count for the additional challenge? (meaning, I can use a non-red fandom from the pool and make it an Assassin's Creed fusion, for example?)
Sorry if it's a lot a once, I only do fic so my options are limited, and I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to watch a new thing. Thanks!

Date: 2025-02-03 03:47 pm (UTC)Dead Zone was initially meant as the Stephen King book + movie + TV show based on it. But if you want to use the videogame (which I didn't know about until today), I would count this, too, because the prompt says 'all media'.
You can write crossovers for the challenge, but only active fandoms (Assassin's Creed in your example) will count for the additional challenge.
Movie adaptations of theater, musicals, and opera count.
And don't forget that used opt-out fandoms and wildcard fandoms turn into active ones for you for one week.
